And with a natural oasis once more established in Margahovit, the birds of Eden are certain to return. There are more than 300 birds that can be found in Armenia and one of ATP and ACE’s core goals is to provide an environment in which they can flourish.

Educational offerings will continue with programs at the Ohanian Center for Environmental Studies in Margahovit, including bird identification, wintering and breeding habits, and the impact of wasteful habits on nature and the environment. A bird watching room will also be established at the Center complete with literature, posters, educational materials, binoculars, scopes, and computers.

And best of all, at the conclusion of each training session, school children will be taken on a three hour field trip to our newly re-gardened Eden and have the opportunity to experience nature for themselves—in a paradise that’s there, even now, just waiting for us to reclaim it.
